4.7 billion toothbrushes and 1.5 billion plastic toothpaste tubes are going to landfill every year, and it can take over 1000 years for a toothbrush to biodegrade. Amy Murphy, CEO and Founder of the Zero Brush, has developed the world’s first prepasted, organic, and biodegradable toothbrush to tackle this problem.
Amy has created the product with hospitals, the military, care homes and even festival goers and backpackers in mind. Innovate UK’s Sustainable Innovation Fund was the accelerator Amy needed to move forward with product development and turn research and design into a fully patented toothbrush.
