Overview

The first mobile app created to help disabled people find accessible places and venues

Sociability started as a crowdsource program to help disabled students studying at Oxford University locate accessible pubs, cafes and places to study. The Sociability app grew from this as founder Matt Pierri, a wheelchair user since the age of 16, realised the huge potential for the app to help people with accessibility requirements.

With support from Innovate UK’s Sustainable Innovation Fund, an enterprise focused version of Sociability now allows businesses to update their own listing, including big brand employers like Toyota, who want to make sure their facilities are suitable for any talent that wants to work for them.
