Head-set is using VR to innovate resilience training for journalists
Reporting from conflict torn war zones is not unusual for journalists, yet they are rarely trained to deal with the traumas they might experience. The founders of @Head-set recognised this and with funding from The Sustainable Innovation Fund, including a Covid-19 continuity grant, set about researching whether journalists need better support to prepare them for these scenarios.
The outcome was clear, that journalists wanted and needed to understand how they might emotionally respond to threats in hostile environments. @Head-set began developing Virtual Reality training that can be used frequently and at scale, building emotional resilience that makes journalists better at what they do.
